- The Motor City DJ is linking up with Interdimensional Transmissions and TV Lounge for a quarterly series.
Beloved Detroit DJ Claude Young is back in his hometown, and later this month he'll kick off a new residency with Interdimensional Transmissions and TV Lounge.
Having resided in Portland for a few years, and prior to that, living overseas for more than a decade, Young has returned home to Detroit, and sorted out a new quarterly residency. He had this to say about the new undertaking: "There will be music created just for these events, not to be heard anywhere else. I'm going to bring in some of my DJ friends from around the country and world to join me and the IT residents for some of the events as well. You never know who may show up. Glad to be back home and look forward to seeing you all at TV Lounge!" He's also said this and "some special IT events" will be the only places he plays in Detroit.
The residency beings on Saturday, July 23rd—IT boss BMG will also DJ at that one. The next installment is on Saturday, September 24th.
BMG just turned in a four and a half hour-long recording to the Dekmantel podcast. (IT will host a No Way Back session at the Amsterdam festival next month.) Check it out.
