  • Goth-Trad's next album is coming in September. Takeaki Maruyama has long been a leading light in Japan's dubstep and bass music scene, and he has plenty of global dubstep bona fides, too. His last album, 2012's New Epoch, came via genre originator Mala's Deep Medi label. This new one, called Psionics, will land on his own Back To Chill imprint, which is also the name of the party series that will celebrate its tenth birthday later this year. Psionics features ten new tracks, and will come in a variety of special editions. A few of the deluxe packages will include a special hand-cut dubplate featuring two exclusive tracks—one is a collaboration with Japanese metal band Boris, and the other a team-up with American group Dälek. The "VIP" package will also include four dubplates cut with eight tracks from the album. All of the limited edition packages will come with WAV files on a USB stick, as well as a t-shirt and poster. For more details on the various versions, check out Creative Platform. Check out a recent mix from Maruyama.
