  • Madrid club night Mondo is starting a label this summer called Mondo Discos. The party, which celebrated its 16th anniversary in May, runs twice weekly out of Sala Cocó in the city centre. It's arguably the capital's leading techno and house night, having hosted debut Madrid performances from acts like Floating Points, Tale Of Us, Recondite, Omar-S, DVS1, Hunee and countless others. In July, the operation will expand to include the label, which will launch with a two-track EP from a producer called Mentho. The label has described Teo's Socks as being "halfway between mental house and introspective techno." The official release date is July 23rd. In the meantime, it's business as usual at the club in June. Surgeon continues his residency on Saturday the 4th alongside Truss, before Axel Boman and Kornél Kovács drop by for a Studio Barnhus showcase on the 9th. Lena Willikens plays on the 11th, followed by Michael Mayer on the 16th, Omar-S on the 18th, Ben Klock on the 23rd and Vitalic, who will DJ, on the 25th. Rounding out the month are the Live At Robert Johnson crew, with Massimiliano Pagliara, Lauer (who will play live) and Ata all confirmed.
