- In collaboration with local club Ampere, Energy Flash looks back at rave culture in the '80s and '90s.
Antwerp's Museum Of Modern Art will host an exhibition on rave culture.
Running from June 17th through September 25th, Energy Flash: The Rave Moment looks back on rave culture in the '80s and '90s. According to its organisers, it's the first exhibition of its kind in the world. Through a a variety of media—such as installations, videos and graphic design—it examines rave culture itself, along with the "social, political, economic and technological conditions" that allowed the movement to flourish across Europe.
The exhibition is presented in collaboration with Ampere, one of Antwerp's key clubs. Three events are planned in conjunction with the exhibition: Wolfgang Flür and Renaat Vandepapeliere play on Thursday, June 16th, K'Alexi Shelby and Paul Du Lac drop by on the 17th, and Âme's Kristian Beyer spins on the 18th.
