- The new Filipino venue will launch next month with Fjaak playing the opening night.
XX XX, a new club in Manila, will open its doors next month.
The venue (pronounced "twenty twenty") is located in Makati, one of the Filipino capital's 16 areas that constitutes Metro Manila. It will "strive to push house and techno, to disco and world music, showcasing the range of taste and quality among local DJs," according to the club's operators. Berlin trio FJAAK will christen the 250-capacity space's Martin Audio system on opening night, June 25th, with Samantha Nicole, Bruder, Mulan and Mikail on support.
The club go on to say that they "have also partnered with German cultural association Goethe Institut Manila, to help promote specifically house and techno DJs from Berlin, as part of a larger initiative to be announced soon."
