  • Acid Camp has announced its next two parties, set to go down June 26th and July 30th at secret locations in LA. Acid Camp, thrown by local DJ Aaron Davis, has quickly built a following thanks to smart bookings while adhering to a Sunday afternoon-into-evening schedule, a relatively novel concept in the Los Angeles underground. Just yesterday, the event celebrated its one-year anniversary with former Detroiters Israel Vines and Patrick Russell, and they'll stay Midwest-minded for their June party, bringing in Bill Converse. Converse, who started spinning in the Motor City at age 12, now lives in Texas and recently garnered some extra attention due to the reissue of his Meditations/Industry cassette on Dark Entries and a couple of key podcasts (including a turn for RA). Natan H, an LA producer who has released on labels like George Fitzgerald's ManMakeMusic and Finale Sessions, is on opening duties for that one. In late-July, The Corner label boss and Ostgut Ton signee Anthony Parasole heads to LA for the outdoor gathering. 2015 saw the New York lynchpin issue EPs on his own label and Levon Vincent's Deconstruct Music, in addition to appearances on Ostgut and MDR compliations. Listen to Bill Converse's RA Podcast.
Tickets to the Converse and Parasole editions of Acid Camp are available here on RA.
