Grischa Lichtenberger and Jesse Osborne-Lanthier team up on Cosmo Rhythmatic

- Cosmo Rhythmatic, the experimental offshoot of Berlin label Repitch, will put out a collaborative EP from Grischa Lichtenberger and Jesse Osborne-Lanthier next month. CSLM, short for Conversations Sur Lettres Mortes ("Conversations In Dead Letters"), is based off a performance that Lichtenberger and Osborne-Lanthier debuted at EM15, MUTEK and Elektra's joint 2014 festival in Montreal. The project sees the two producers, who share a fondness for glitch music, using CRT television sets and VHS units as sound sources to "toy with obsolescence and commodity fetishism," according to the label. Their six original productions fit on an A-side that's been named "GHOSTS," while the B-side, "HORIZONTAL HOLD CONTROL INCORRECTLY SET," features remixes from Low Jack (who put out an album on Modern Love back in March) Gábor Lázár and Tri Angle affiliate Rabit. To celebrate the release, Cosmo Rhythmatic will link up with CTM Festival's Polymorphism series for a concert at Berghain on Friday, June 10th. The event will feature the CLSM audio-visual show and four more live acts: Mika Vainio will perform with Franck Vigroux (the pair issued an album through Cosmo Rhythmatic last fall); Shapednoise, one of the minds behind the label, will team with sYn for an audio-visual show called Metaphysical; and solo sets will come from Xosar and Container. Shapednoise will also DJ, as will Nina, a steady-rising talent from Hamburg who holds a residency at Golden Pudel and helps operate the young experimental imprint V I S.
