- The label will start off with an EP featuring an Egyptian Lover remix.
The first release on the newly minted label DVE Records will be a three-tracker from label owner Damiano von Erckert, out in mid-June.
Von Erckert already looks after one outlet, ava., the imprint that's handled the bulk of his output to date—including last year's Also Known As Good LP, a record Glenn Jackson said contained "classic and hip-hop-informed house variations" resulting in some "downright charming" music in his review.
The new label has three EPs planned for 2016, lining up music and collaborations from the Cologne-based von Erckert alongside remixes from artists he respects. The first one has an original, "California," along with a remix of that track from LA electro legend Egyptian Lover. A track von Erckert made with Am Kinem, "Symphony Of A Brother," rounds out the first release.
The other 12-inches, out in August and October, will include remixes from Mall Grab and Ron Trent respectively.
