Hypnobeat will release a new 12-inch in May.
James Dean Brown's long-running project has passed through a series of lineups over the past three decades, but Peter Weiss revived the alias with Helena Hauff in 2012 for a string of improvised live sets utilising a large array of Roland machines. Juno Plus reports that one such performance was recorded at French festival Les Siestes Électroniques in June 2014, which provides the source material for this forthcoming release on Portuguese label Pluie/Noir. The duo contributed a live recording to a tape compilation on MMODEMM last year, but Les Siestes Électroniques will be the first official solo Hypnobeat release since the '80s.
