  • Fanon Flowers will head to Chicago next Saturday to play the Not Deep Turnt party at Door No. 3. This is the Deep Turnt crew's first event in the basement room underneath Double Door since last year. (Previous guests include Erika, Phil Moffa and Eric Cloutier.) Fanon Flowers, the Michigan-bred, LA-based techno jock who's been putting out records for two decades—and who Deep Turnt cite as an inspiration for their party—will be making a rare Chicago appearance. Residents Olin, who's also the talent buyer at smartbar, and Studio Casual, the duo behind Stripped & Chewed, will take care of local support. Next weekend's party is technically a one-off, but more Deep Turnt-related action is in the works for July. Further details will be revealed later on. Check out a 2010 cut from Flowers, which Olin praises as "one of the most deep turnt things on this god forsaken earth," below.
