  • Chicago's Tied crew has sorted out some party plans for the next couple months, starting with an all-nighter this Saturday. Tied, who last month hosted Francis Harris for an all-night set, will host two out-of-town guests this weekend. Martinez, the Copenhagen-based DJ and Concealed Sounds label boss (and the remixer on the Tied label's first release last year), tops the lineup, and also confirmed is Andrade, a Parisian DJ and producer who's appeared on the likes of Bass Culture, Mixmode and Dessous. Dino Gardiakos, owner of the River North institution Spybar, will play a birthday DJ set to take care of local support. Looking ahead to late May, Tied will throw their first event in Detroit during Movement—an afternoon boat cruise, on Saturday the 28th, featuring the Bass Culture boss himself, D'Julz, and LA's Sublevel chief Doc Martin. There's already been Tied boat parties in Chicago the last two years, and two more are planned for this summer, again aboard The Summer Of George. On Saturday, June 11th, Norm Talley will man the decks for an evening cruise (boarding begins at 9 PM), and a daytime cruise is in the works for August—details for that one are still TBA. Tickets to all Tied events are available here on RA.
