  • The first Pretty Good Not Bad will go down in Victoria from Friday, June 17th through the 19th. It's the launch for the soon-to-be annual event, which is meant to "[engage] Victoria through dynamic and evocative multimedia experiences," according to the organizers. The festival is spread around a handful of venues throughout the weekend, showcasing music, experimental audio and visual art via "alternative spaces" in the area. Among the highlights in terms of music are Laurel Halo and Vancouver artist Loscil, both of whom will play on Friday night. Saturday afternoon features a free "ambient picnic" in Centennial Square (which Loscil will also play), and then later that night BC artists sounds (AKA Michael Red) and Magneticring will play another ambient-leaning showcase. Check out the full lineup at the event listing below.
