  • Ostgut Ton is gearing up to release Virginia's first album, Fierce For The Night. Due out digitally and on vinyl on May 27th, the record has been co-produced by a trio of Ostgut Ton-affiliated Dutch acts: Dexter, Martyn and Steffi. They collaborated on each of Fierce For The Night's 11 tracks, which, according to its press release, are centred around themes such as love, lust and life. "Love, longing and lightness are the superior motifs of my album,” Virginia says. "They're universal human emotions, but also part of the classic house music narrative." Virginia and Ostgut Ton go back a long way. The Berliner has been a resident at Berghain/Panorama for the past few years, and has released her past three 12-inches on the club's in-house label, stretching back to Loch & Hill in 2013. Virginia's relationship with Ostgut Ton didn't start there, though—her name has been closely aligned with the outlet since she linked up with Steffi in 2011 for one of its most popular tracks in recent years, "Yours." Listen to snippets of album cuts "Funkert" and "Raverd" below.
