  • Miami six-piece Psychic Mirrors will headline a video party for the D.C.-based label Peoples Potential Unlimited at a TBA location on April 29th. The brainchild of record digger Andrew Morgan, PPU originally began as an outlet to reissue obscure '70s and '80s music, much of it dovetailing into the boogie funk revival. In recent years, they've also issued tunes from new acts following in that legacy. Psychic Mirrors are preparing a new full-length for the PPU, and they'll travel up from Miami to play live at the April show. Analog enthusiast Moon B has worked closely with PPU since his 2012 Untitled debut. He also recently launched his own imprint, World Aurale. He'll perform alongside fellow Angeleno, Benedek, who is getting ready to appear on RA's stage at Dublab's Sleepless event on Friday. Jamma-Dee, who recently dropped a couple singles on NYC label Arcane, is the only DJ on the bill. The party will be filmed and may factor into the third volume of PPU's Video Party compilation series. Listen to "Coolin'" off Benedek's recent EP for Leaving Records below.
