  • Jean Michel Jarre will make his only UK festival appearance of 2016 at a new event called bluedot in July. The three-day festival's programme will include live electronic performances and comedy, DJ sets, lectures and live radio broadcasts from esteemed British scientists (the venue is Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire, home to the UK's foremost radio telescope.) Headlining alongside Jarre will be Underworld and Caribou, with additional slots for Ben UFO, Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve and DJ Yoda. Other non-electronic highlights include indie rock outfits Everything Everything and British Sea Power, and a live edition of Professor Brian Cox and Robin Ince's BBC Radio 4 show, The Infinite Monkey Cage. For a rundown of the lineup and activities confirmed so far, head to bluedot's official website.
