  • Pitchfork Music Festival 2016 will go down in Chicago's Union Park from July 15th to 17th. The three-day festival is mostly concerned with hip-hop, pop and indie rock, though this year boasts a number of electronic acts. Rather than straight-ahead dance music, however, the booking tends towards crossover-friendly acts. Domino artists Julia Holter and The Range will join Friday's rock-heavy lineup, while Holly Herndon and Oneman are scheduled to play on Saturday. Sunday is the main event for electronic music, with performances from Oneohtrix Point Never, Sun Ra Arkestra, Thundercat and FKA Twigs, who just dropped a new video yesterday. Pitchfork has featured DJs from the local footwork scene for about six years now, and 2016 is no different, with RP Boo and his protégé Jlin scheduled as well.
