  • The lineup is in for Dekmantel Festival 2016. This year marks the fourth edition of the Amsterdam festival, which will return to Amsterdamse Bos from August 4th through 7th. The nighttime programme is happening at Melkweg, while a series of opening concerts will be held at Muziekgebouw, EYE Film Institute, Paradiso's Tolhuistuin and Bimhuis. All venues on the opening night, August 4th, will be linked by free ferry services. Around 150 acts will perform across the festival, and organisers have released a video that outlines the bulk of the 2016 lineup. Live performances will come from Tony Allen and his band, James Holden and Camilo Tirado (playing their new Outdoor Museum Of Fractals show), NYC post-punk outfit ESG and dub legends Lee 'Scratch' Perry and Adrian Sherwood. The DJ bill runs deep, with Ricardo Villalobos, Dixon, Moodymann, DJ Harvey, Donato Dozzy, Jeff Mills, Theo Parrish, The Black Madonna, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Lena Willikens and Chicago crate digger Sadar Bahar, who mixed this week's RA podcast, among the highlights. Labels like Rush Hour Music and Viewlexx will hold mini showcases. Check the full lineup so far here.
