  • Vancouver's Body Language is holding its 20th event on February 26th. The series, which happens at The Beaumont Studios in Vancouver's False Creek (one of the few venues in the neighbourhood), generally focuses on house and disco. It has a long-standing record of featuring local and regional artists, DJs like Noah Pred (who now lives in Berlin) and recent Playing Favourites star Dane. Their 20th event is strictly a hometown affair, featuring Vancouver stalwart Max Ulis, Heart To Heart signee Jesse Bru, Neighbour, Woodhead and Mr. Moffat. As usual, this one has a theme, this time inspired by Warner Herzog's Cave Of Forgotten Dreams. "This edition of Body Language will include special environmental decor, a ritualistic theme, animal character interpreters, and a visual environment that encourages fluidity between forms of life on earth," organizers say. You can listen to a recording of Ulis's set from last year's Shambhala festival below.
