  • Steve Mizek and Savile will link up for gigs in Cleveland and Los Angeles in the coming weeks. The two DJs are key parts of Chicago's underground scene, and both are connected to local institution Smart Bar. Mizek, who helps run that club's young label Northside '82, also operates his own imprints, Argot and Tasteful Nudes. (You might also know him as the mind behind the well-regarded (and now-closed) Little White Earbuds website.) Savile, meanwhile, has been enlisted for tracks on Argot, and saw his Suffer Play EP released through Northside '82 a few months ago. He was also called on recently to remix another Chicagoan, Chrissy, for Freerange Records. Having flown the Argot flag together in Boston last month, Mizek and Savile are due in Cleveland next Saturday the 20th for a return appearance at In Training, the clued-in queer party at Now That's Class that hosted them last February. They'll then be in LA on Sunday the 28th, for some day party action with Fine Time and Acid CampDwig, a Berlin-based artist and core member of the Giegling label crew, will headline that one, his LA debut, with a live set. Stream Mizek and Savile's still-fresh session for Electrocorp below.
Tickets to that LA party are available on RA.
