Commodo will release his first full-length, How What Time, via Black Acre on April 22nd.
The Sheffield native came to underground prominence thanks to a string of EPs for Mala's Deep Medi Musik. He collaborated with Kahn and Gantz on a joint LP released last August, but How What Time is his first solo full-length. The record was made in the UK, Turkey and Germany and Commodo says he sought to "strike a balance between a sample-heavy, rap style sound palette and the energy of the 140 BPM based music I've always been a part of." How What Time also sees him continuing to interface with the UK grime and hip-hop scene, roping in Croydon emcee Rocks FOE for a feature. (In late 2014 he dropped a cut featuring JME.)
