  • Daniele Antezza, AKA Inner8, is starting up a label called Holotone. Antezza is probably best known for his work as one-half of Dadub, an Italian techno duo with a handful of releases on Stroboscopic Artefacts. (They also master and engineer many of the releases on that imprint.) Last year, Antezza also launched a solo project called Inner8, which has since released one album and one EP. Now he's striking out on his own, inaugurating his new label with the four-track Tetramorph EP. The record continues on with Antezza's usual mix of hard-hitting beats and dense atmospherics. As usual, however, it also comes with a conceptual bent: "each of the four tracks on this EP represents a different phase in a four-fold process of creative praxis," according to the label. Japanese artist Koichi Shimizu appears on "Aufhebung." Tetramorph is due out on March 21st. Antezza says he wants the music on his new imprint to communicate "using an unmediated language (art) to express the complexity of our hyper-mediated world." Tetramorph's release will be preceded by a label launch at the Kantine am Berghain on January 30th, where Antezza will be joined by S13, GRÜN and a handful of artists slated for future releases on Holotone, including Alexander Stone. Check out a teaser for the showcase below.
