Tim Gane and Joe Dillworth of Stereolab, along with synthesizer player Holger Zapf, are releasing an album as Cavern Of Anti-Matter on February 19th.
The trio debuted in 2013 and have since released a handful of EPs for labels like Grautag and Ghost Box. void beats / invocation trex is their first album and most substantial release yet. It features appearances from Bradford Cox—the frontman of Deerhunter—and Sonic Boom from Spacemen 3, along with Mouse On Mars co-founder Jan St. Werner. The LP will come via Stereolab's long-time label, Duophonic, in triple-LP, CD and digital formats.
Gane is one of the founding members of Stereolab, the long-running British experimental pop band which also counts Dilworth as a member. You can listen to the 12-minute opener "Tardis Cymbals" below.
