  • Washington DC hotspot Flash is throwing a 33-hour New Year's Eve and Day party. Flash rang in 2015 with a 16-hour session, and they've got even grander plans in store for next week. The party starts at 8 PM on Thursday the 31st, and runs nonstop through to 5 AM on Saturday the 2nd. Detroit's Delano Smith, who headed up last year's festivities, will be back to play this one, and also flying in are Alexi Delano, US ex-pat Camea and Bella Sarris, an Australian DJ and resident at Richie Hawtin's ENTER. party in Ibiza. David Waxman and Flash residents Chadwick, Navbox and Dansman round out the announced lineup, and the club also promises some surprise guests are set to join the fun. After the NYE and NYD celebration, the club will open its doors again, at 8 PM that Saturday night, for a Love & Disco soirée featuring Baltimore native Maurice Fulton, whose Boof LP The Hydrangeas Whisper from earlier this year grabbed a spot on our 2015 top albums list. Bar hours will be extended to 4 AM throughout the long weekend. And before all that, heads in the District post-Christmas can catch Cassy at Flash this Saturday for the second edition of her quarterly residency. Tickets to Flash events are available here on RA.
