  • Russell Whyte, AKA Rustie, has cancelled a string of performances because of issues with addiction and mental health. Whyte, who last month released his third album via Warp Records, announced the news via Twitter on Saturday, December 19th. He confirmed that "all gigs in the near future are cancelled," which will affect an NYE show in San Bernardino, California and January's Holy Ship! festival. He followed that shortly after with another tweet, saying that he "won't be posting or responding on social media personally for a while. Any posts will come from management." Rustie isn't the first UK artist to suffer problems of this nature—dubstep star Benga is only just returning to the decks after almost two years spent battling schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, which he said were "brought on by drugs" and "excessive touring."
