- The LA artist's third full-length will come through Friends Of Friends in March.
Anenon will release his next LP, Petrol, on March 4th.
Brian Allen Simon, an LA-based artist, has been making contemplative electronica for a few years now, often prominently featuring his own saxophone playing. Most of his music has come via his Non Projects imprint, but for Petrol, he'll turn to close associates Friends Of Friends.
The label says that Petrol, a product of collaborative sessions with Jon-Kyle Mohr, is "an album about Los Angeles, but not the Los Angeles you know," inspired more by "moments of thoughtful, early morning solitude" than the busy, tangled freeways that wind around the city. "In Anenon’s mind, an Angeleno is 'one who understands the beauty of distance and the consistencies of irregularity,'" the press release goes on to say, "and those juxtapositions can be found throughout Petrol."
It follows the Camembert EP, which came out via Friends Of Friends in October.
