  • The next Modern Cathedrals event in Detroit is set to take place on Friday, November 13th. Following an official Movement afterparty headlined by Vatican Shadow, Modern Cathedrals' will kick off its club series at Tangent Gallery with a night dubbed First Sacrament. Swinging through town for the occasion are Talker and John Templeton. Talker, AKA Karl Meier and Jon 'Stave' Krohn, are purveyors of rumbling, leftfield techno affiliated with Regis and Downwards, which dropped an LP from the duo last year. Templeton is a Denver-based DJ and promoter known as the founder of the Great American Techno Festival, which took place for the fifth and final time earlier this month. (Talker was one of GATF 2015's bookings.) We interviewed Templeton as part of our Exchange podcast series back in April. On the local side of First Sacrament's lineup, Modern Cathedrals label head Altstadt Echo will play back-to-back with Äsop. Residents Princevali and Inyahed Signalman take to the decks as well. Tickets to the party, which runs from 9 PM to 4 AM, are available here on RA.
