- The Black Light four-tracker will mark the launch of a new Berlin-based techno label, Kynant.
A new label called Kynant will launch next month with an EP from Max Durante.
Kynant's roots are in the UK but it's based in Berlin, and for now the only other thing we know is it plans to "explore and invert rhythm in techno." For its first release, the label has recruited Durante, a pioneer of Italy's techno and electro scene whose career in music stretches back nearly three decades. Back in May, he appeared on Adam X's Sonic Groove with Metastability, his first solo record in four years, and for Kynant he's prepared Black Light, which features three tough, dark original cuts and a similarly-minded remix from another Italian artist, Donato Dozzy. Neel (Dozzy's Voices From The Lake partner) has handled mastering for the EP, which will come on vinyl and digital formats.
