Modeselektor's 50 Weapons label has revealed details of its final run of records.
The Berlin label will close at the end of 2015. It'll sign off with a flourish of 11 EPs from some of the label's best-known associates, as well as a boxset titled RIP 50 Weapons that pulls together those EPs. The EPs feature tunes from the likes of Shed, Marcel Dettmann, Zenker Brothers, Rødhåd, Bambounou, Margaret Dygas, Monolake and Benjamin Damage, who provided the final album on 50 Weapons, Obsidian. Modeselektor also appear on the boxset.
The RIP 50 Weapons boxset will be presented as an 11x12-inch package that also includes a "RIP 50 Weapons" sticker and a USB file containing digital versions of all 22 tracks. It'll see release in October, while the individual EPs will be released throughout October, November and December. More details of the boxset and EPs are available over on the label's website. 50 Weapons, which was launched in 2006, was always meant to be a limited operation, with Modeselekor planning to call it quits once it had released "50 weapons."
