  • Chicago house music publication 5 Magazine will mark its ten-year anniversary with a party at Primary on Saturday, October 17th. With a monthly print edition distributed for free in Chicago, along with a website, 5 Magazine has been active since August 2005—and it claims the title of "North America's only magazine dedicated exclusively to house music." Over the years, it's been involved in dozens of parties. For the upcoming anniversary soirée, the magazine will take over Primary with help from longtime NYC jock Victor Simonelli, a repeat guest. Local support will come from the magazine's DJs Rees Urban and Czboogie. The night, hosted by clubland legend Robert Williams (of The Warehouse and Music Box fame), will also feature a performance from the Fivestar Boogie Dancers group. Attendees who show up early will be treated to "lots of free giveaways" in the form of T-shirts, CDs and "collector's item issues."
