  • A new festival called Blick will debut in Ajaria, Georgia, at the end of August. The lineup of Blick's first showing has a strong focus on techno. There will be a variety of strands on offer, headed up by Juan Atkins. More stripped-back dance floor sounds will likely be delivered by Marcel Fengler, Peter Van Hoesen and Etapp Kyle, while Deadbeat, Steve O'Sullivan and Marko Fürstenberg lay down dubbier textures. Dasha Rush will touch down for a rare live A/V set under her Antarctic Takt guise, and those after house can look forward to a set from Cassy. A solid cast of local acts has also been confirmed: Zurkin Chkonia, Bacho Chaladze and Gio Shengelia are among the many Georgia-based acts due to play. Blick runs from Thursday, August 20th through Saturday, August 22nd. It will be held around Batumi Boulevard, a popular area in the coastal city of Batumi in Georgia's southeast. The festival is a cross-country collaboration between the team behind popular Georgian event 4GB, and the Berlin-based studio r° multimedia agency.
