- Noah Pred and Timo Maas will also play the Winnipeg festival next month.
MEME, AKA the Manitoba Electronic Music Exhibition, will return to Winnipeg this year from August 13th through 16th.
The festival is an annual gathering with a healthy emphasis on Canadian acts. The main portion of the festival is free to the public, taking place at The Cube in Old Market Square in the centre of the city. There's also a program of nighttime "after-cube" events at a few smaller venues in Winnipeg. As ever, MEME's focus is largely on house and techno, with Graze member and New Kanada boss Adam Marshall at the top of the bill along with German Timo Maas. Other highlights include Berlin-based British Columbian Noah Pred, My Favorite Robot's James Teej, Brooklyn's Nickodemus, SCI + TEC affiliate Justin James and Vancouverites Rennie Foster & Max Ulis. A series of workshops and panel discussions will happen in addition to the musical programming.
