  • Drumcell will swing through Phoenix this Thursday to headline Der Bunker Teknobar. Taking place downtown at Monarch Theatre, Der Bunker Teknobar is a new monthly techno series—the first of its kind in years for Phoenix. They've already been involved in a few local debuts: in June they hosted SHXCXCHCXSH as part of that shadowy Swedish duo's first Americas tour, and before that they helped promote a show with Ascetic House featuring Silent Servant and Shifted. Next up on their calendar is this week's show with Drumcell, real name Moe Espinosa, the Southern California DJ and producer and one of the minds behind the popular Droid Behavior parties and Droid Recordings label. (He also helps run Bl_k Noise, where, a couple months ago, a limited-edition EP from his new Buchla-focused ambient alias Hypoxia saw release.) The gig counts as Espinosa's first time playing in Arizona. Resident Joe Bear will handle local support, and attendees will need to enter the venue via the alley.
