Sonic Groove readies record from Max Durante

- Max Durante is next up on Sonic Groove with his Metastability EP. So far in 2015, Adam 'X' Mitchell's longstanding techno label has put out records from two key affiliates, REALMZ and Northern Structures (previously a duo with Troels B Knudsen, these days it's Lasse Buhl's solo project). Mitchell is now welcoming aboard Durante, an influential Italian producer and DJ whose career stretches back to the mid-'80s. Crafting a hard-edged mix of techno, industrial, electro and acid, Durante might be best known as part of Automatic Sound Unlimited, which released on Hot Trax, an offshoot of Rome's trend-setting ACV label. For his Sonic Groove debut, he's turned in a three-track EP. The vinyl version is set to arrive tomorrow, and a digital release will follow next month. Looking further ahead, Mitchell has confirmed initial details for a few more upcoming releases on his label. Next after Metastability will be Henning Baer's In Pursuit Of Myself EP, his third solo effort for Sonic Groove. That one's due out in mid-June. Belgian pioneer Monolith and Swede Diagenetic Origin are also set to return to the label with records later in the year. On the events front, Mitchell will link up with Orphx and Ancient Methods for a Sonic Groove showcase at Berlin's Tresor on Friday, May 29th. Tracklist A Kreuzberg B1 Italian Decay B2 Ansia Sonic Groove will release Metastability on May 19th, 2015.
