  • The second edition of Macki Music Festival will take place in Paris from September 25th through 27th. Established last year, Macki is a collaboration between Parisian promoter La Mamie's and the Cracki Records label. For its second edition, the festival will return to Carrières-sur-Seine, near Paris, installing a stage next to the banks of the Seine. On September 25th it'll kick off with an opening party at Pigalle's La Machine du Moulin Rouge, with the main festival happening at Carrières-sur-Seine on the 26th and 27th. An assorted cast of world, hip-hop and electronic artists have been booked, with GZA, Nightmares On Wax and Tony Allen at the top of the bill. They'll share the stage with Los Angeles duo Silk Rhodes, Florida rapper Chester Watson, Nigerian saxophonist Orlando Julius and The Heliocentrics, Belgian beatmaker Shungu and Trio Combo Brazil, a favourite act of Radio Nova's Rémy Kolpa Kopoul, who died this past Sunday. On a more electronic front, Romare and Genius Of Time will both play live. The French scene will be represented by the likes of Syracuse, Bon Voyage, Caandides, Ménage à Trois and Archipel. The soundsystem truck Le Camion Bazar has also been locked in. The rest of the lineup will be revealed in the coming weeks. Watch last year's aftermovie for Macki Music Festival below.
