- The Paris label has announced three new series named after three different times: 3PM, 4AM and 7AM.
Paris's Concrete Music will simultaneously launch three new EP series in April: Concrete Music 3PM, Concrete Music 4AM and Concrete Music 7AM.
Concrete Music is the label arm of Concrete, the much-loved Port de la Rapée boat party that's also behind Weather festival. The three series are named after three different times: 3PM, 4AM and 7AM. Concrete founder Brice Coudert explains: "Every weekend I'm going to Concrete to listen to artists playing. I'm talking about music with them and the people sharing the dancefloor with me. I collect all these inputs and ideas, all this energy, to define what Concrete Music's DNA is. Because of this variety of people, tastes, and points of view, the label can't be reduced to one and only genre, so to make the music more easy to comprehend, we are splitting the label in three parts: three different moods, or more precisely, three times of the day..."
The first three records, titled Textures 3PM, Textures 4AM and Textures 7AM, feature contributions from Matthew Herbert, San Proper, Stanislav Tolkachev, Lazare Hoche, Society Of Silence, Trus'me & Curses, Hold Youth, S3A, Antigone & Abdulla Rashim, Chris Mitchell, Corcos and more.
