- The Fuck Buttons artist will drop Dumb Flesh in May.
Fuck Buttons member Benjamin Power, AKA Blanck Mass, will release his next album on May 12th.
Power debuted the side project back in 2011 with a self-titled LP on Rock Action, an ambient-leaning record that we said was "all about the twirling sensation of moving but not going anywhere" in a review at the time. Now, following recent material from Fuck Buttons, Power is again striking out on his own, this time for New York imprint Sacred Bones.
Dumb Flesh was recorded in various places around the UK, and according to the label it's "a comment on the flaws of the human form in its current evolutionary state."
"We are at the mercy of our genetic heritage every day," Power says. "No matter how intelligent we are compared to other life forms, we’re still made up of the same building blocks and things can go very wrong."
