  • QT will soundtrack Valentine's Day in Downtown Manhattan alongside Doss, Total Freedom and more. The conceptual pop project has generated a fair share of controversy despite releasing only one single, "Hey QT," since it debuted last summer. Produced by PC Music boss A.G. Cook and Numbers affiliate SOPHIE, QT herself—the outfit's singer and figurehead—offered a handful of kooky year-end interviews where she acted as a brand spokesman for the QT-affiliated energy drink, speaking in caricatured marketing jargon about "vertical connectivity," "enhanced interactions" and "mass-market appeal." While it's unclear exactly what the QT performance will entail, it will be complemented by an appearance from the equally "post-Internet" Acéphale signee Doss, as well as DJ sets from Total Freedom and Pleasure Centers. In keeping with the theme, the Valentine's affair also offers "slow dance sets all night" and a "kissing booth" at their Downtown Manhattan location, a Chinese restaurant turned makeshift nightclub.
