  • Perc Trax artist Pinion and Drumcell will share the stage in Los Angeles and Detroit this weekend, beginning with a gig this Thursday at Complex. Pinion, AKA Bobby Dowell, has released under his proper name on labels like Soma and Droid, and his industrial techno sound makes him a natural fit for the label run by the steadfast Los Angeles crew. He introduced the Pinion alias in 2012, dropping the Engage EP via the uncompromising Perc Trax imprint. Fittingly, Droid will be presenting Dowell's Los Angeles show, where he'll spin alongside Drumcell. The Droid co-founder has also been working closely with CLR as of late, releasing his 2013 album Sleep Complex and the Speak Silence EP via Chris Liebling's label. On Friday, the duo will travel to the Motor City for the 28th installment of Blank Code Records' Scene event series. Chuck Flask & Gabi, Rex Sepulveda and Tom Newman have been tapped for support. Check out Pinion's contribution to Blank Code's podcast series and pick up tickets to the Los Angeles show on RA.
