- Mathias Kaden, Alex Smoke and Avatism are due at the Berlin label's birthday celebrations later this month.
Berlin label Vakant will celebrate ten years of releasing music with a party at Watergate on Friday, October 31st.
Vakant was founded by Alex Knoblauch and Stephan Bolch, but these days Knoblauch runs it solo. The label helped shape the sound of minimal house throughout the late '00s, but with a more musical and song-like aesthetic than many of the other German labels operating in the same space. A crew of Vakant's core artists will be spinning at the upcoming Watergate event, including Mathias Kaden, Alex Smoke and DeWalta, while live sets come from Avatism and Tolga Fidan & Volkan Akin.
