  • Work from Japanese musician and visual artist Ryoji Ikeda will be displayed on Times Square billboards in New York throughout October. In the music world, Ryoji Ikeda is probably best known for his work with Raster-Noton. He's released three albums on the German label, the most recent being Supercodex in 2013. Images taken from his Test Pattern A/V show will be used at Times Square. From 11:57 PM to midnight each night, the images will be screened on numerous screens around the Square as part of a monthly project between The Times Square Advertising Coalition and Times Square Arts called Midnight Moment. Head to the project's official site for more information. For an idea about what will be screened, check out a video of Ikeda performing Test Pattern at Sónar in 2010.
