- The LA artist will hit the road from October to mid-December while preparing her debut LP.
Kelela has announced a 13-date tour of Europe and North America.
The Los Angeles-based singer and Fade To Mind affiliate has been busy since she dropped her ambitious Cut 4Me mixtape in the fall of 2013. In addition to the recent "OICU," she's also shared new singles "The High" and "Want It"—which features the Chicago-based drill rapper Tink—while keeping up a rigorous tour schedule and preparing her official debut album. She'll hit the road with her frequent collaborator Total Freedom in October for a string of dates that will carry her through mid-December, with support from artists like Shura, Lafawndah and Novelist along the way.
The two-month run begins at the Pitchfork festival in Paris on October 29th. That will be followed by a headlining show with Shura at the AB Club in Brussels on the 30th and a gig at CATCH Festival in Utrecht on the 31st. On November 1st she'll play Berlin's Kantine, and on the 4th she'll be at Corsica Studios in London with new-school grime MC Novelist—then it's Club To Club festival in Turin on the 7th, followed by Iceland Airwaves the following day.
She'll pick the tour back up on November 29th with a gig in DC at U Street Music Hall, then head out west for two gigs: San Francisco's The Independent on December 1st and LA's Henry Fonda Auditorium on the 2nd. Her Miami Basel appearance on the 4th will be alongside her close friends and frequent collaborators Future Brown, then she'll wrap it up with a December 12th gig in Manhattan alongside Lafawndah and Cynna, and a December 13th Brooklyn show at Music Hall Of Williamsburg.
