- Tracks from Fred P, Exercise One and Zadig, among others, will appear on the Berlin label's next release.
Berlin house and techno label Studio r°, an offshoot of the internet TV station of the same name, has announced plans for a triple-vinyl compilation release that's due out in October.
The Studio r° imprint focuses on bringing together tracks from established talent, rising artists and lesser known names, as heard on its previous two records. (This fits in with the TV station's mission to "document modern club culture.") That approach, along with a penchant for sequentially-titled records and a vinyl-only policy, continues on 003, which splits about eighty minutes of music across twelve tracks. Fred P, who appeared on the label's first release a little over a year ago—and who recently shared his story in a feature here on RA—is back on board to open things up, and he's joined on the first EP by a three other veterans: NYC stalwart Brendon Moeller, Geophone head Mike Parker and the duo Exercise One. The other two records feature the likes of Zadig, DJ Spider, Harry Light (making his debut) and Boyd Schidt.
