  • Splash House, a festival that takes advantage of Palm Springs' sprawling poolside bars, will take place August 8th through 10th. The festival has found a growing audience, returning for a second act after its initial mid-June run. It will be held across three venues—The Hard Rock, The Saguaro Hotel and the Hacienda Cantina. Attendees will gain access to all of the poolside events, as well as after parties on Friday and Saturday. Transportation between venues will come via a free shuttle service. Once again, the programming is focused on indie-leaning dance acts. Cut Copy and fellow Australians Jagwar Ma are scheduled to play live. In keeping with the antipodean bent, Flume will DJ, but the festival is also heavy on US acts, with A-Trak, Nosaj Thing and Chromeo among those scheduled to spin. Wooden Wisdom, the DJ duo of actor Elijah Wood and LA record collector Zach Cowie, will also make an appearance.
