  • Red Bull Music Academy will return to Bestival in 2014, hosting one of the festival's main dance stages. RBMA has been a feature at the Isle Of Wight event since 2011—last year saw the likes of Evian Christ, Erol Alkan and Boddika all perform. For 2014, four curators will curate a night at the stage, with the action running from Thursday, September 4th through Sunday the 7th. Returning bigger and better than last year, Glaswegian party-starters Numbers will take control of the opening, hosting live sets from Redinho and Kool Clap, as well as a four-deck back-to-back set from Jackmaster and Oneman (as part of their Can U Dance series.) Friday will belong to disco don DJ Harvey, with Daniel Avery, Pachanga Boys and edit maestro Hugo Capablanca all confirmed. Switching it up on the Saturday, grime royalty Boy Better Know, AKA JME and Skepta, will preside over a raucous bill that includes Slimzee and Riko Dan, Preditah and special guest DJ EZ. Closing out the festival will be Bestival favourite Diplo, showcasing his edgier tastes with sets from Kaytranada, Ryan Hemsworth and mysterious remix specialist Trippy Turtle. Supplementing the music, the RBMA stage will be decorated in a "dance temple" theme, "complete with totem poles and resplendent tribal miscellanea inside and out," according to a press release. Elsewhere across the weekend, Bestival 2014 will feature sets from Sven Väth, 1-800-Dinosaur and Derrick Carter, as well as main stage performances from Outkast, Disclosure and Busta Rhymes.
