- The US pair will hit the road across May and June, making stops in London, Copenhagen and Berlin.
Matmos have announced details of a 13-stop tour of Europe, starting in Bristol on Thursday, May 29th.
The Baltimore duo, real names M.C. Schmidt and Drew Daniel, are fresh from the release of their latest album, The Marriage of True Minds, which came out last month. To help promote the record, the pair will set off on a thorough tour of Europe across three weeks in May and June. Kicking off with four dates in the UK, Schmidt and Daniel will hit The Lantern in Bristol, followed by Supersonic Festival in Birmingham (May 30th) and two nights at East London's Café Oto (May 31st, June 1st.)
From there, Schmidt and Daniel head out to the continent, playing in Heidelberg, Germany on June 3rd, Copenhagen's Jazzhouse on the 5th and NK in Berlin on Friday 6th. In Italy they'll touch down at Venice's futuristic nightspot Spazio Aereo on the 9th, and the Biografilm Festival in Bologna the following night. The tour will reach its apex on Friday, June 13th, with a set at Barcelona's Sónar Festival, before concluding in France with performances at I-Boat in Bordeaux (14th) and L'Aronef in Lille (16th.) Fellow Baltimorean noise artist Jeff Carey will support the pair on a number of shows. For more on Matmos, check out our
