Just Jack is kicking off a label arm next month.
The club night, founded by residents Tom Rio and Dan Wild, has spent the last eight years bringing house and techno to Bristol, a city perhaps best known for its mutated bass sounds. More recently, they've taken the brand beyond the city, staging parties in London, Ibiza and elsewhere. With the party now well established, it felt like a good time to start releasing music. The first release, The Baby Maker EP comes from Beesmunt Soundsystem, an Amsterdam-based duo who previously released a pair of EPs through Soweso Music. Chicago-bred producer Amir Alexander also steps up with a B-side remix.
