Melt! announces first names for 2014

- Portishead, Dixon and Omar Souleyman will all perform at the Ferropolis festival in July.
- Melt! Festival has revealed the first wave of acts playing in 2014. The German festival will commemorate its 17th edition in July, returning to the industrial backdrop of Ferropolis from Friday 18th through 20th. Portishead have been announced as headliners, alongside Scandinavian pop collaboration Royksopp & Robyn. Moderat and Fritz Kalkbrenner both return, with Metronomy, Chromeo, Jagwar Ma, Modeselektor, Omar Souleyman and LA four-piece Haim also featuring. Innervisions will host their first Melt! showcase, with Dixon, Âme (DJ set), Marcus Worgull, Kim Ann Foxman, Mano Le Tough and Recondite. DJ-wise, the likes of Tiga, tINI, Dusky, Ellen Allien and Breach will all perform, while Daniel Avery and Erol Alkan spin back-to-back. More acts will be announced in the coming months.
