  • Crate Brewery will host a charity fundraiser for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan on December 7th, with all proceeds going towards the aid effort in the Philippines. The typhoon hit the country in Southeast Asia across the first week of November, killing approximately 4,000 people and affecting the lives of a further 11 million. On Saturday, December 7th, the Crate Brewery in Hackney Wick will host an event to help raise money for the victims, with performances from the likes of Tim Exile, Ital Tek, Jerome Hill, Bradley Zero, Raj Chaudhuri and secretsundaze's Giles Smith all confirmed. There will also be a raffle, with Hyperdub, Numbers, Erased Tapes, Bleep, Ninja Tune and Planet Mu among the labels donating prizes. A rare test pressing of Hemlock001—there are only three in existence—has been pledged by label chief Untold. Every donation of £10 will receive entry to the party and one raffle ticket (additional raffle tickets can be purchased for £5) . All money made from the door, raffle tickets and RA's booking fees will go directly to DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) and Shelter Box, as well as all of the bar takings. Venue staff will be volunteering on the night. The event will run from 10 PM through 4 AM.
