- The Kompakt regular has announced details of his first album in five years.
Justus Köhncke will release a new album called Justus Köhncke & The Wonderful Frequency Band in November.
The German producer's breezy and idiosyncratic take on club music has made him a popular member of the Kompakt stable over the past decade. This will be Köhncke's first full-length since 2008's Safe And Sound, which was described as an "excellent pop techno record" in an RA review. As with that album, Justus Köhncke & The Wonderful Frequency Band will come out on Kompakt, which has been celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with a flurry of album and compilation releases. Despite the title, it's a mostly solo affair, with just one guest appearance, from Mouse On Mars member Andi Toma, who co-produced the title track.
