- Clockwork, Mind Against and Forrest all guest on the Italian producer's forthcoming full-length.
Avatism will release his debut album, Adamant, through Vakant in October.
Though the album was a year in the making, Thomas Feriero says each track was written in a single day. "I imposed mandates on myself while making it," he says. "The tracks had to be written in a day. Written—not mixed, arranged or produced—simply written. Even though I was convinced the album was going in a different [and] wrong direction approximately 292,829 times, I decided to follow through on all the musical parts that I developed in these one-day cycles."
The Italian producer first came to attention in 2011 with EPs on Dumb Unit, Souvenir and Haunt. Since then he's collaborated with Clockwork, as well as notching up his debut outing on Vakant last year. Adamant continues to explore Feriero's pensive, unhurried take on techno, with Clockwork, Mind Against and London-based producer Forrest. guesting.
Watergate in Berlin will host the album's official release party on Saturday, September 28th, with Roman Flügel, Cesare vs Disorder, Clockwork and DeWalta all joining Avatism, who will perform live. He will then embark on a promotional tour, taking in shows at fabric and Movement Torino among others.
